Mikhail Shemyakin’s “Symphony of Color” will be shown for the first time in Moscow
On December 13, 2024, the exhibition of contemporary art “Integration of Cultures” will begin its work in the ART-SPACE exhibition complex on Tverskaya Street, 9. The basis of the exhibition project will be Mikhail Shemyakin’s total installation “Symphony of Color”, created in collaboration with the Mikhail Shemyakin Center in St. Petersburg. Earlier works of this series “Herbarium” were exhibited only in St. Petersburg.
The exposition consists of five parts, each of which has its own individual coloristic solution. The smallest multicolored pieces of dried leaves and petals are the materials from which the artist handcrafted these works. Color interacts with music specially composed for the project and is complemented by aromatic compositions.
In addition, the exhibition “Integration of Cultures” will present works by a number of foreign artists: Carlos Rosero (Ecuador), Rashid Alkindi (Oman), Dhyan Passik (India), Lukos Banoni (USA), Franco Policastro (Spain), Fidel Kabre (Burkina Faso) and others.
The exhibition will run through January 12, 2025.
