We invite you to a unique exhibition of African art, “Fascinating Africa”!
The art of Africa has been admired for centuries for its originality, inspiring generations of artists to create new masterpieces.
After the Paris Colonial Exhibition of 1935, many European masters, including Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse and André Derain, began to integrate elements of African aesthetics into their work.
Masks and sculptures with abstract form and deep emotional power became the impetus for many of them to search for new artistic forms.
Contemporary African artists continue to follow the traditions of their ancestors, enriching them with new techniques and themes that respond to contemporary social issues. The exhibition will thus be a vivid statement of the relationship between history and modernity in African art, demonstrating its development and relevance.
The exhibition “Africa. Cultural Code that Inspired Picasso and Matisse” will present not only works by contemporary African masters, but also works by Russian artists who have captured the emotional palette of the African people.
Don’t miss the opportunity to see the unique works of artisans and learn more about the cultural context of their creation.
The exhibition will be available from October 24 through November 17.
We look forward to seeing you!
