SPRING COMES FROM THE EAST (13.03-30.03)

Exhibitions

With the beginning of spring each of us revives hopes and dreams that have fallen asleep during the winter. Spring is a time to love, dream and create.

“Spring Comes from the East” is an exhibition dedicated to the richness and diversity of Eastern cultures. Unique traditions, original art and deep connection with the history of these regions became the source of inspiration for creating the exposition.

The exhibition becomes a space to comprehend and rethink the Eastern cultural heritage that transcends geographical boundaries. Just as dawn is engaged in the East every day, so spring starts from the East every year. Let’s take the very first step towards spring and get acquainted with the world of Eastern peoples’ creativity.

For many peoples, spring means the celebration of life itself! It is one of the most expressive images in fine art, and a great number of Eastern epics are dedicated to it – about blossoming gardens, youth, joy of life and renewal of feelings. And spring is greeted in the East, without exaggeration, grandiose! Abundance of bright and juicy colors symbolizes the constant rebirth of life from darkness and nothingness. The riot of colors is intended to provide a powerful emotional charge for the whole spring, which, according to many peoples, determines the whole year!

It is the most favorite and most important season of the year in the Middle East. But we, who live at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, can also celebrate the first day of spring and get in the mood for renewal and new life.
