We are pleased to announce the opening of the exhibition “China, Dialogue of Civilizations” in our art space. For thousands of years, Chinese art has delighted with its diversity and depth, inspiring artists both inside and outside the country.
Traditional Chinese art, with its centuries-old histories and unique styles, continues to have a significant influence on contemporary artistic practices both in China and beyond. This influence manifests itself in a variety of forms, including painting, calligraphy, sculpture, and even fashion. The use of ink and rice paper, combined with modern elements such as collages or digital graphics, allows for the creation of new art forms that combine the old and the new.
Chinese art is traditionally filled with symbolism, with each element having its own meaning.
Contemporary artists often use these symbols to express current socio-political themes such as love, struggle, memory and identity.
For example, the use of dragon or phoenix symbolism can be reinterpreted to address themes of strength and rebirth in the context of contemporary challenges.
You can enjoy works of painting, calligraphy, ceramics and other art forms that speak of China’s deep philosophical and cultural traditions.
The exhibition will be on view from November 23 through December 8.
We invite you to immerse yourself in the world of Chinese culture and discover new facets of it with us!
